Drive student success at Nova Scotia Community College in Kentville as a Student Success & Retention Specialist. Engage with African Nova Scotian and Black students to ensure support and retention.

In this full time role, you will coordinate Early Alert initiatives, monitor student progress, and facilitate outreach to connect students with necessary support systems. With an emphasis on equity, you will collaborate with faculty and community organizations to develop and assess holistic support strategies aimed at enhancing student persistence and completion.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Early Alert processes for at-risk students
• Monitor student engagement and academic progress
• Connect students to relevant support services




• Document case conferences with faculty and teams
• Research and implement effective retention initiatives

Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three years in student support roles
• Knowledge of Anti-Black Racism principles
• Experience with data analysis and intervention planning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
