Become a pivotal part of Jacobs as a Substation Studies Engineer. This role focuses on analyzing power systems to support substation design and operation, ensuring compliance and reliability.
In this role, you'll leverage your engineering expertise, backed by at least four years of experience in power system studies. The role includes developing system models, performing detailed studies, and preparing technical documentation. You will work within a cooperative environment across North America to enhance power system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute short-circuit and arc flash studies
• Validate technical specifications for equipment
• Produce and present technical reports
• Support design projects throughout the lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with team members
Requirements:
• Degree in electrical engineering (bachelor’s or master’s)
• Minimum 4 years in power system studies
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, and PSCAD required
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE standards
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
