CNSC is looking for a Director to shape the Operational Engineering Assessment Division. Emphasize your technical and regulatory expertise in safety at nuclear facilities in Ottawa, Ontario.
As the Director, you’ll provide oversight for assessing engineering safety across regulated nuclear facilities. Reporting to the Directorate General, you will lead a dedicated team enhancing compliance through evaluation and strategic guidance. Your role will also involve engaging with regulatory frameworks and influencing key partnerships in this highly impactful position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee assessments of reactor's major systems for safety
• Guide development of regulatory documents and standards
• Present strategic recommendations to CNSC management
• Collaborate internally to advance risk-informed approaches
• Represent CNSC on relevant national and international committees
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
• Bilingual proficiency at CBC level is preferred
• Experience in nuclear engineering regulatory practices
• Robust leadership in technical project management
• Insights into nuclear industry challenges and trends
