The RDKB is hiring a Water/Wastewater Operator 1 or 2 for a temporary full time role at the Columbia Pollution Control Centre in Trail, BC. This position enhances operations at the wastewater treatment facility.

Ideal candidates will be responsible for day-to-day operations, under the supervision of the Chief Operator. This role demands a conscientious operator skilled in recognizing subtle changes within plant processes and infrastructure. You will be part of a team that has been acknowledged for its excellence in various operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility
• Oversee the performance of pumping stations
• Analyze and respond to plant process changes
• Participate in the rotating on-call program
• Work closely with the Chief Operator for maintenance needs

Requirements:
• EOCP-certified as WTP or WWC Level I or II
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week
• Eligibility to work in Canada is mandatory
• Available for overtime hours as required
• Union affiliation with CUPE Local 2254
