Support diverse learners as a Behaviour Support Teacher with Peace Wapiti Public School Division. This full-time temporary role focuses on implementing effective student behavior strategies in grades 7-12.
At PWPSD, you will work as part of the Inclusive Services Team, providing vital guidance on behavior management and collaboration with school staff. Your expertise is essential for fostering a supportive setting and implementing tailored educational interventions aligned with student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute plans for student behavior improvement
• Train and advise site staff on inclusive education practices
• Engage in collaboration with teachers across the division
• Facilitate nonviolent crisis intervention training as needed
• Support educational assessments and programming for diverse learners
Requirements:
• Alberta Teachers Certificate and Bachelor of Education degree
• Experience in creating and implementing behavioral interventions
• Knowledge of specialized resources for diverse learning needs
• Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
• Ability to travel within the school division
