As part of CHEK News, you’ll report to the News Director and focus on filming and editing distinctive news segments. Availability for weekend shifts is vital, and you’ll be involved in making editorial decisions that adhere to journalistic standards. This role requires working under pressure while maintaining attention to detail with both technical and creative aspects of videography.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with producers on news segment creation
• Execute editorial decisions with professionalism
• Efficiently manage video ingestion and editing




• Frame and sequence shots for visual narrative
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed

Requirements:
• Education in Broadcast Television or comparable field
• Two-plus years of relevant experience
• Expertise with editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro
• Capacity to lift heavy equipment (20-30 lbs)
• Strong interpersonal skills and creative thinking
