The Community Health Nurse, working under the Health Director, plays a crucial role in the planning and execution of health initiatives that reflect Musqueam values. This includes advocating for access to healthcare resources and promoting preventive care. You’ll engage with community members to foster health literacy and support community wellness from childhood through adulthood.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead chronic disease management and educational programs
• Supervise community health program delivery
• Coordinate health-focused community events
• Analyze health data to drive program improvements
• Advocate for health service access for community members
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Valid nursing license and CPR certification
• Experience with Indigenous health practices preferred
• Familiarity with community health needs assessments
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
