Ledcor is hiring a Quality Coordinator to join our team on a major GO Transit project. This site-based opportunity in Oshawa offers the chance to grow your career while contributing to infrastructure that will serve Ontarians for generations.
Essential Responsibilities: Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards
Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to verify adherence to contract requirements and identify potential quality issues
Track, document, and manage non-conformances, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and monitored for effectiveness
Maintain and organize quality documentation, including inspection reports, test records, compliance documentation, and turnover packages
Prepare and submit quality reports for project leadership, clients, and regulatory agencies, while monitoring quality performance indicators and trends
Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure materials, workmanship, and construction activities meet project requirements
Review vendor and subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
Participate in quality review meetings and support the development and implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
Support the standardization of quality documentation, inspection methodologies, and reporting processes across the project
Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality procedures, inspection requirements, documentation standards, and industry best practices
Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection and support compliance with the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP)
Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction, infrastructure, transit, or industrial sectors
Completion of post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, or a related field is required
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects for a General Contractor in Canada
Previous experience supporting construction activities in active rail corridors or on heavy civil infrastructure projects
Experience on Metrolinx projects is highly regarded and preferred; familiarity with Metrolinx quality requirements, standards, and compliance processes is considered a significant asset
Working knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, CSA standards, and other applicable quality frameworks
Strong understanding of construction codes, inspection techniques, materials, methods, and industry best practices
Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contract documents,
and technical documentation
Experience conducting quality inspections, audits, non-conformance investigations, and corrective action tracking
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction projects
Must possess a valid provincial driver's license
Working Conditions: Site-based position with frequent visits to active construction sites in Oshawa, Ontario
Willing to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments
Regular standing, walking, and working in outdoor construction environments
Use of inspection tools, standard office equipment, and quality management software
Compensation $76,500.00 - $102,000.00
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
