Direct the Emergency Services Unit for Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug, ensuring effective management of child and family services. This role requires supervision, strategic coordination, and community involvement.
The ESU Manager is responsible for overseeing child welfare processes and team performance within the Kido framework. You will guide ESU team members in responding to emergencies and ensuring the safety of families while implementing the MDK service model. This role also involves budget management, HR decisions, and building community partnerships to support families in need, ensuring a robust cultural alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise ESU staff and coordinate emergency operations
• Recruit and train team members in compliance with KIDO practices
• Support families during after-hours emergencies
• Monitor and report on case files and budgets
• Collaborate with external service providers and community resources
Requirements:
• At least five years in child, youth, and family programs
• Background in management or crisis response roles
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of KIDO history and cultural framework
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
