What you will do:
- Lead and manage a team of social workers and personal advisors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring compliance with statutory frameworks and council policies.
- Collaborate closely with senior managers on strategy, policy, and service direction, providing actionable insights.
- Manage team budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and delivery of value for money.
- Establish effective relationships with Children’s Services, other council departments, and external partners.
- Prioritise and distribute workloads effectively, maintaining a focus on the child’s safety and best interests.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and supervise individual team members to monitor performance and service quality.
- Chair case meetings and reviews to ensure the child’s care plans align with their safety and best interest.
- Utilise IT and direct communication to maintain robust monitoring systems for social care plans and workloads.
