Take on a pivotal role as Operator 1 within the Utility Stations at the City of Whitehorse. This permanent full-time position will engage you in vital water and sewage operations.
Your main responsibilities include operating and maintaining all associated systems, from treatment plants to distribution networks. You will perform sampling and monitoring to ensure the highest standards of water quality and compliance with safety regulations. Support for both routine operations and emergency situations is critical in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate pumping and sewage treatment facilities
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and log irregularities
• Assist in maintaining SCADA alarm systems
• Develop and uphold standard operating procedures
• Handle maintenance records for all equipment
Requirements:
• Minimum 12 months operating experience at a Class 1 facility
• Certification in Water Quality and Sampling preferred
• Familiar with emergency safety protocols
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Solid organizational and detail-oriented skills
Support public health initiatives by ensuring the reliability of water and sewage systems in Whitehorse.
