Join the City of Greater Sudbury as a Technician I in our Fleet Services division. This role focuses on automotive maintenance and equipment repair to ensure operational efficiency.

As a Technician I, you will work within a supportive team to maintain and repair municipal vehicles and equipment. A valid 310T certification and Class “DZ” driver’s license are essential for success in this permanent position. You will be responsible for supervising a Helper and developing expertise in CGS policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections and repairs on automotive and mechanical equipment
• Oversee Helper activities and training
• Utilize CGS Safety Manual for compliance and safety




• Document service reports accurately for record-keeping
• Operate testing equipment and municipal machinery

Requirements:
• 310T Technician Certificate required
• Class “DZ” driver’s license needed
• Practical automotive repair experience required
• Access to a Master Mechanics tool kit
• Knowledge of fleet software and service reporting
