The Role:
The Finance Coordinator - Fund Payments & Administration - is responsible for supporting the operational effectiveness of the Foundation's finance and fund administration functions. The role ensures the accurate processing, administration, and reporting of fund and grant-related transactions, contributing to strong financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to fundholders, grantees, and internal stakeholders. Working within established financial controls and procedures, the incumbent maintains critical financial data, supports reporting and payment processes, and contributes to the efficient management of charitable assets entrusted to the Foundation. Through collaboration, accuracy, and attention to detail, the position helps ensure the integrity, transparency, and accountability of the Foundation's financial operations.
Core Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for entering Agency, Designated, and Managed Fund grants
Enter coding into FIMS for fund associations and distributions
Provides support for accounts payable activities
Provides support for gift activities
Completes T4A forms and Bare Trust forms as required
Supports and coordinates daily deposits
Assists with Finance & Audit and Investment Committee meetings and materials as required
Participates on internal committees and working groups as required
Generates and posts monthly fund statements and annual reports
Assumes other duties as may be assigned

Experience, Education, and Credentials
Diploma in accounting or office administration
1-3 years of experience in data entry or bookkeeping is an asset
Skills and Abilities
Strong ability to multitask and operate multiple applications
Highly skilled in MS Excel
Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management with the ability to prioritize competing demands
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others
What We Offer:
Starting salary in the range of $49,400 - $61,749
