Take on a critical role at GFL Environmental as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Blind River and Espanola. This role revolves around repairing and maintaining diverse vehicle systems and ensuring operational safety.

Working with limited supervision, you will be tasked with comprehensive repairs on electrical and hydraulic systems. Your skills will contribute to the efficient performance of GFL's fleet by directly engaging in preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and documentation of services. You may also assist in training new apprentices to improve team capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and diagnose vehicle and equipment issues
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
• Utilize vehicle diagnostic systems effectively




• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and maintain compliance
• Complete necessary documentation using fleet software

Requirements:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. plus 2 years of maintenance experience
• Valid 421A certification registered in Canada
• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair and safety practices
• Ability to communicate and document repairs thoroughly
• Experience with diagnostic tools and software
