Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards, while ensuring food safety and maintaining a clean kitchen workplace.
Duties
Prepare and present sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and modern techniques.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary and accommodating special requests.
Stay updated on current trends in the food industry to enhance menu offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
Robust skills in food preparation, cooking, and handling various types of seafood.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
