Omega Overhead Doors is looking for an experienced Lead Overhead Door Technician to join our growing team.
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, can troubleshoot and repair overhead doors and operators, and is capable of leading and mentoring other technicians.
Responsibilities
Install, service, repair, and maintain residential, commercial, and industrial overhead doors
Diagnose and repair springs, cables, rollers, hardware, tracks, and door operators
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Lead service calls and installations
Train and mentor apprentices and junior technicians
Ensure jobs are completed safely, correctly, and efficiently
Communicate professionally with customers
Complete job reports and document work performed
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
Follow company safety procedures and Alberta safety requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of overhead door experience preferred
Strong knowledge of overhead door systems and operators
Commercial/industrial experience is an asset
Experience with torsion and extension spring systems
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's licence
Able to work at heights
Reliable, hardworking, and safety-minded
Positive communication and customer-service skills
Ability to lead a small crew and work independently
