We are a CPA firm located in Richmond and always provide high-standard services to small, medium and large size businesses. We are looking for a full time staff accountant who must have enthusiasm in accounting and tax area.
Responsibilities:
-Preparation of compilation and review engagements, including working paper and financial statements
Preparation of T1, T2 and other information returns,
Preparation GST/HST, PST, WCB returns, and T-slips reporting
Bookkeeping using Yardi, Caseware, QuickBooks and Sage (Simply Accounting), including bank reconciliations and payroll
Communicating with clients, and providing instructions to clients if necessary
Handling CRA enquires
Qualifications:
Detail oriented and quick learner
Accounting degree
At least 2 years of experience in public practice
Outgoing and cheerful personality
Organizational and time management skills
Positive time management Ability to meet deadlines,
Preparation of compilation engagement independently
Experience in preparing T1 Individual Income Tax Returns
Experience in preparing T2 Corporation Income Tax Returns
Knowledge of payroll
Experienced and proficient in the following software: Sage (Simply Accounting) , QuickBooks, MS Word, Excel,
Yardi, JD Edward or other property management software will be an asset
CaseWare/Caseview experience (required)
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written English)
Recent public practice experience is an asset
