Responsibilities
Take accurate orders from guests, ensuring clear communication of menu items and specials
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, cider, and soft drinks
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Square POS
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, addressing questions, and accommodating special requests
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently
Follow proper food handling procedures and uphold food safety regulations at all times
Bar inventory
Qualifications
Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
Familiarity with POS systems like Square POS or similar cash handling technology
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to perform basic math for cashiering, making change, and processing orders accurately
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or drink orders simultaneously
Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding alcohol laws is a plus
Serving it right certification from British Columbia
