Early Childhood Educational Assistants to support a classroom.

(Toddler or Preschool classrooms)

Full-time positions available.

Duties:

Responsible aiding with planning and implementing learning activities and providing a wide range of stimulating material.

Responsible for organizing the learning environment and overseeing activities that foster all areas of the child's emotional, cognitive, social and physical development. This includes play-based learning programs and small or large group activities.

Help with planning and coordinating activities for toddlers, preschool and school-age children in child-care programs and before and after regular school hours.

Assist in record keeping and help maintain the equipment in our facility.

Maintain a high-quality workplace that protects the health, security and well-being of children.

Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with teachers and staff members.

Aid in written observations on children.

Support children in the development of their self-help skills and independence.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.





Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.

Other duties assigned.

Requirements:

Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR training level C

Transparent Police Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check

Medical clearance and up to date immunization

Food Handler certificate

Working knowledge of ELECT and How Does Learning Happen

Candidates should possess the ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and be able to work as part of committed and dedicated team

Candidates should be able to work within Ontario, Canada without needing sponsorship.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
