We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care and medication management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in pharmacy operations, patient interaction, and medical terminology. Responsibilities
Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Manage inventory levels, including stock replenishment and proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and addressing basic inquiries under supervision.
Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, medication logs, and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
Support the pharmacy team with administrative duties such as billing, data entry, and filing prescriptions.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and medication handling procedures.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth medication administration processes for patients.
Skills
Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
Demonstrated pharmacy assistant experience with knowledge of medication dispensing procedures.
Robust understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
