Duties
Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight to various locations.
Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery when necessary.
Verify delivery orders, check freight for damages, and ensure accurate documentation of shipments.
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining a clean driving record.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs or report maintenance needs promptly.
Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
Experience
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; CDL certification is a plus.
