The Manager of Logistics will be involved with all transportation modes relevant to cement. Cost management, logistical and equipment efficiencies will be a primary focus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
· Negotiate with railroads, truckers, railcar leasing companies, toll blending facilities, warehouses and transloaders.
· Work with and support customer service and region managers on any issues relating to above.
· Investigate where new terminals may be required and take lead role in launching them.
· Travel with Region Managers when needed for logistical support.
· Oversee management of FWC Northampton Terminal along with closely monitoring third party terminals that we utilize.
· Assist in arranging car repairs to be made at terminals and customer locations.
· Monitor and update terminal and freight costs for determining mill nets.
· When necessary,
monitor rail service and work with railroad(s) to facilitate expedited switches and other problems that warrant priority.
· Maintain spreadsheet on US monthly cement imports by country, US location and price.
· Attend association logistic meetings when applicable.
· Submit monthly report recapping highlights of activities.
· Report to VP of Sales.
Qualifications and Skills:
Should have a degree concentrating in transportation and logistics or equivalent education. Should have at least three years of experience in logistics.

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
