Wilco Contractors is currently looking for an OFF ROAD Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic, to join our growing Calgary team for a full time year round position.
Job Duties:
Troubleshooting of engine, hydraulic, electrical, braking and powertrain systems.
Troubleshoot and repair all makes and models of Heavy Equipment
General mechanical repairs
Competently use typical shop equipment including hoists, air jacks, and hydraulic equipment
Diagnose and complete repairs, PMs on all company equipment in shop and field.
Order parts/material required to complete repairs
Ability to work call-outs, weekends, and overtime, if required.
Willing to work in all weather conditions.
Required Skills and Experience:
Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician or OFF/On-Road RED SEAL Journeyperson Ticket
Extensive experience with Heavy Equipment and OFF ROAD Field work
Familiar with diagnostic software
Valid class 5 license, with clean driver abstract.
Must have your own tools
Positive communication and organizational skills.
Working conditions:
Working within both indoor and outdoor work environments; ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures, dusty and loud work environments
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting/carrying of items up to 80lbs
