Deep River Nursery School and Childcare Center is a licensed childcare center that provides quality care to families in Deep River and the surrounding areas.

Deep River Nursery School and Childcare Center is seeking a support staff member. în our before and after school program. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching young children and a robust dedication to supporting their educational growth while encouraging positive social interactions.

In this vital role, you will assist in delivering high-quality care and support to children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, or required support with behavior. Your proactive approach will ensure a secure, engaging environment where children can thrive. Duties
Support children with daily activities in the classroom, including feeding, dressing, toileting
Help implement individualized support plans
Work closely with the team to provide guidance, emotional support and encouragement to all children to create a sense of belonging and inclusion.




Collaborate with co-workers, parents, the County of Renfrew Integration Services, and other staff to achieve goals set for the children.
Develop Individual Plans to help children reach their developmental goals.

Qualifications
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
Recent experience in a licensed child care setting is considered an asset.
Minimum 1 year of experience working in child care setting.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen, issued within the last 6 months.
Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification.
Up-to-date immunization

Hours of Work:

During instructional (school) days, the regular hours are 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 3:30–5:30 p.m. There is the possibility of extending the position to up to 8 hours per day for the right candidate.

During non-instructional days, including PA Days, March Break, and summer vacation, the hours are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m
