St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a full-time probationary Educational Assistant position at St. Augustine School in Ponoka, Alberta, beginning September 1, 2026. Preferred candidates will have experience working with students with exceptional abilities and/or medical needs. The successful candidate will offer academic and social support for individual students or students in a small and large group. Experience and an understanding of Indigenous Learning, Response to Intervention, solid communication, literacy and numeracy skills, an optimistic attitude and a willingness to be adaptable with duties in a Kindergarten to Grade 12 setting would be considered an asset.

Employment is conditional upon the submission of a recent (within six months) Criminal Record Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as a recent (within 6 months)Alberta Children's Intervention Record Check. Please note: Catholicity is not a requirement it is considered an asset.
