The Alo Food Group is hiring a Line Cook for Aloette that is an upscale 38 seat restaurant in the heart of Toronto. With Roots in fine dining we have created an upscale restaurant that focuses on quality ingredients, great execution, and all around hospitality. Job Description

Solid applicants will be able to adapt to changing menus and products. They need to be able to work independently and have a desire for excellence. They should also be able to manage their own time and be confident in their ability to write prep lists and order products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicates the restaurant's vision to all team members and leads by example.
Consistently monitors kitchen operations and cleanliness




Builds and maintains relationships with team members and front of house management alike
Follows proper ordering, inventory and receiving procedures
Shows leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and cooking
Demonstrates high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every prospect to promote the restaurant
Uses conflict/resolution and problem solving skills
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Must have previous cooking experience
Passion for food & culinary excellence
High level of integrity
Discipline and vision
Ability to build and nurture relationships; solid team leadership and interpersonal skills
Reputation for paying fanatical attention to detail
Drive and takes initiative
Exceptional communication skills with all levels of the organization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
