Bayview Group is a growing local Winnipeg construction company providing heavy construction services such as road building, sewer and water, concrete recycling, and all municipal services to our communities.

We are currently seeking the following position for our Asphalt City/Highway Divisions.
Class 3 Tack Truck Operator

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Foreman, the Tack Truck Driver is responsible for the protected and efficient operation of an asphalt distributor truck used to apply liquid asphalt/emulsion on roadways. This role also includes routine inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and set spray bar distributors to accurately apply liquid asphalt.
Apply asphalt to designated areas with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
Monitor equipment condition and report any maintenance or repair needs to the Foreman.
Perform general labor duties as required, including shoveling and raking.
Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operations.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, using appropriate tools and equipment for each task.




Contribute to a safe work workplace and ensure the safety of fellow employees.
Represent and protect the company’s interests in all work-related activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum two years related asphalt and road construction experience is an asset
Willingness to work shift work, weekends, overtime, and extended hours as required
Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
Solid work ethic and reliability
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Valid class 3 with air driver’s license
