Join Mosquito Grizzly Bears Head Leanman First Nation as a Lands Manager to oversee land management activities. Focus on sustainable practices while strategizing with local leadership to meet community needs.
In this full-time role, you will handle critical land and resource issues directly impacting the First Nation. Supporting the Chief and Council, you'll ensure compliance with legislation and articulate land management strategies that respect future sustainability. Key skills include data management, negotiations for leases, and an understanding of environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement a lands data management system for accurate records
• Negotiate and prepare land leases, permits, and allotments
• Monitor compliance with land and resource regulations
• Prepare Land Transaction Information Reports when necessary
• Collaborate with departments on Land Use Planning initiatives
Requirements:
• Willingness to obtain Skilled Land Management Certification
• Educational background in natural resource management
• 1-2 years of experience in land management
• Strong communication and negotiation capabilities
• Familiarity with regulatory policies and guidelines
Actively contribute to land sustainability and resource management at Mosquito Grizzly Bears Head Leanman First Nation.
