Become a driving force for student academic success as a Mentoring and Writing Specialist at the University of Ottawa. Oversee the Academic Writing Assistance Centre and enhance mentor training initiatives.

This interim role includes managing operations at CARTU, where you will schedule appointments and efficiently allocate writing resources. Your focus will be on developing mentor capabilities through structured training programs and workshops, ensuring the delivery of tailored academic support to students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily activities of the Academic Writing Assistance Centre
• Provide guidance in selecting and training writing mentors
• Facilitate regular skills enhancement sessions for mentors




• Offer personalized writing assistance to undergraduate and graduate students
• Design creative academic support services addressing student needs

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant experience
• Proven bilingual proficiency in French and English
• Background in mentoring or teaching required
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively
