This full-time contract role focuses on enhancing access to mental health support in East End Communities. You will play a crucial part in employing empathetic, recovery-oriented approaches while assisting clients with mental health challenges. Your personal journey equips you to foster stability and aid in linking clients with essential community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional and practical support to clients
• Connect clients to available community services
• Support individuals struggling with mental health and addiction
• Drive and manage the mobile support unit
• Foster trusting relationships and community engagement
Requirements:
• Lived experience in mental health recovery and support
• Familiarity with trauma-informed and harm reduction techniques
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driver’s abstract
• CPR and First Aid certification or readiness to obtain
