Join Jaza Energy as a Group Accountant and manage comprehensive financial operations for our Canadian entity. Emphasizing full-cycle accounting, payroll accuracy, and tax compliance, this role drives sustainability in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In this position, you will be responsible for the complete accounting process for Jaza Energy's Canadian operations. You’ll handle payroll management, facilitate regulatory compliance for corporate taxes, and ensure exact record-keeping in the general ledger. Your role also involves coordinating intercompany transactions and supporting treasury management for efficient cash operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct full accounting cycle tasks at Jaza Energy Inc.
• Process payroll and maintain employee records




• Handle Canadian corporate tax filings and compliance
• Manage cash flow forecasts and banking relationships
• Ensure intercompany transactions align across entities

Requirements:
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance
• CPA (Canada) preferred; equivalent qualifications considered
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations
• Located in Halifax; authorized to work in Canada
