Join Positive Shepherd as a Housing Support Specialist at Dorothy Day Place, committed to empowering marginalized individuals. This position provides a platform for cultural safety and a trauma-informed approach to support.

In this temporary full-time role, you will work from Tuesday to Saturday, engaging with cis women, trans, and non-binary individuals facing homelessness. Your responsibilities include developing safety plans, facilitating community integration, and delivering supportive education focused on mental health and trauma. A flexible, dignified workspace supports impactful outreach.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate to develop individualized safety plans
• Provide trauma-informed supportive counseling




• Assist in community appointments as required
• Create a hospitable environment for residents
• Comply with health and safety protocols

Requirements:
• At least 1 year of social service experience
• Experience in residential settings preferred
• Understanding of feminist and anti-oppressive principles
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
• Fluency in a language besides English is a plus
