Job Summary

This is a full time on-site role located in Creston, BC. As a Welder at King Creek Enterprises Ltd., you will be responsible for performing various types of welding, fabricating and repairing metal structures, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include operating and maintaining welding equipment, inspecting materials for quality assurance, and collaborating with the team to achieve project goals while adhering to timelines and safety protocols. A large part of the job includes repairs & maintenance of our construction equipment.

Duties
Interpret welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
Computer-aided design (CAD)
Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
Determine weldability of materials




Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.

Qualifications
Proficiency in Arc Welding and general Welding techniques is preferred
Experience with Arc and MIG Welding is preferred
Knowledge of various materials and their properties as they relate to welding and fabrication
Attention to detail and a solid understanding of technical drawings and blueprints
Adherence to workplace safety standards and procedures
Robust problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in a similar welding role is an asset
A journeyman or welding certification is preferred
An ability to analyze equipment problems.

Pay: $41.00 per hour
