Inter-Rail Transport Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician with a valid CVIP license to join our Edmonton maintenance team.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Class 8 highway tractors and trailers
Perform CVIP inspections and complete required repairs
Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and air system issues
Repair and maintain specialized heavy-haul equipment and trailers
Identify equipment deficiencies and complete repairs as required
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Work under the direction of our Shop Foreman and Lead Hand
Work collaboratively with the rest of our maintenance team
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:
Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification required
Valid CVIP licence required
Experience working on highway tractors and trailers
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Driver’s licence and clean abstract
Punctual, reliable and motivated
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
Comfortable using computers and tablets
Mechanic must have their own inventory of tools

Position Details:
Full-time, Monday to Friday,



8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Some overtime may be required
Work inside a newer, clean shop
Work alongside an experienced maintenance team
Fleet-based shop with a solid focus on preventative maintenance
Majority of repairs and maintenance completed in-house including rebuilding engines
Work on a well-maintained, high-quality fleet of highway tractors, trailers and specialized heavy-haul equipment

Work with modern diagnostic equipment and current industry technology

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
