Job Description
MGR Workforce is looking for an experienced Finishing Carpenter to join a construction team in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with finish carpentry, interior installations, trim work, and detailed woodwork.
This is a regular Monday to Friday day-shift position paying $30.00 per hour.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Perform finish carpentry work on commercial and/or residential construction projects
Install doors, frames, baseboards, crown moulding, trim, casing, and other finish materials
Complete detailed woodwork and interior finishing
Measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately
Read and interpret drawings, plans, and measurements
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Perform repairs, adjustments, and finishing work as required
Ensure completed work meets quality and workmanship standards
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Follow all site safety procedures and instructions
Requirements
Previous experience as a Finishing Carpenter or Carpenter
Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques and materials
Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials
Ability to read basic construction drawings and specifications
Proficient with common carpentry hand and power tools
Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation to the job site
CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots and required PPE
Working on heights certification is an asset
