Seeking a strategic and hands-on Plant Controller to join the leadership team of an established client!

This role is responsible for the financial management of a rapid paced and robust manufacturing facility, partnering closely with Operations to drive profitability, improve processes, and support key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial activities for the manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, forecasts, and management reports.
Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Analyze manufacturing costs, labour efficiencies, material usage, inventory, and overhead variances.
Monitor plant KPIs and provide meaningful financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
Partner with Plant Management to identify cost-saving initiatives and improve profitability.
Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
Ensure accurate standard costing and product costing methodologies.
Manage month-end and year-end close activities.
Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies.
Coordinate external audits and support internal audit requirements.
Review capital expenditure proposals and track project spending.
Qualifications
CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing setting.
Previous experience as a Plant Controller, Assistant Controller, Cost Accountant, or Manufacturing Controller is considered an asset.
Experience working with ERP systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
