Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating legal survey plans, IOPs, typical crossings and alignment sheets for construction projects. This role requires proficiency in various drafting software and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all designs.
Responsibilities
Develop and prepare detailed drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD software.
Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications.
Utilize software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and Civil 3D to create 2D and 3D models.
Produce accurate layouts and designs while adhering to industry standards.
Modify existing drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports.
Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to ensure compliance with project standards.
Stay updated on the latest drafting technologies and techniques to enhance productivity.
Qualifications
Proficiency in drafting software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D,
NavisWorks, Sketchup, and 2D animation tools.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and architectural design processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
Excellent attention to detail with robust organizational skills.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Previous experience in a drafting or design role is preferred.
A degree or certification in drafting technology or a related field is advantageous.
