Gordon Barr Ltd. is hiring a Construction Foreman to join our growing team. We are an established contractor engaged in a variety of heavy civil projects including site works, subdivisions, and road reconstructions.
This is an intermediate-level position with room for advancement. Wage is commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
Daily supervision of site operations and crew coordination
Liaison between field and management staff
Order and coordinate equipment, materials, and deliveries
Enforce and uphold all on-site safety protocols
Maintain accurate paperwork and site documentation
Apply OPS standards and ensure OHSA compliance (Green Book)
Quantity surveying for earthworks and site improvements
Interpret and work with digital plans and production software
Travel and physical labour may be required
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education
3–5 years experience in heavy civil construction, specifically underground pipe works
Certificates in:
WHMIS, Working at Heights, Trenching, Hoisting & Rigging, CPR, Confined Space
Recognized supervisory training (mandatory)
Proficient with Total Station/GPS/CAD and Microsoft Office (asset)
Solid communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license required
Technical Skills
Survey software and hardware familiarity
Understanding of topography, elevations, and line work
Digital construction tools and plan interpretation
