The Senior Swim Instructors ensure the delivery of high-quality swim instruction, prioritize water safety, and support the professional development of the instructional team, ultimately contributing to a safe and enriching swimming experience for all participants.
Responsibilities:
Conduct swimming lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, demonstrate proper swimming techniques, strokes, and safety practices. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their swimming abilities.
Ensure a safe and secure swimming setting by maintaining constant vigilance and enforcing our water safety protocols.
Foster a positive and inclusive work culture among the swim instructor team, encouraging teamwork, mutual support, and a passion for teaching.
Create a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages learning, and a love for swimming.
Keep track of student progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate milestones as students master new swimming skills.
Act as a substitute instructor as needed
Qualifications:
Valid National Lifeguard and SFA + CPR-C
Previous competitive swimmer preferred
Substantial experience as a swim instructor, with at least 3+ years of teaching experience. This should include a proven track record of effective instruction and a deep understanding of swimming techniques, strokes, and safety protocols.
Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively mentor, coach, and guide new instructors.
A professional demeanour with a positive attitude and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and responsibly.
Job Type: Part time
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
