We’re looking for a Certified Trailer Mechanic to perform CVIP inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial trailers. You must hold valid CVIP certification and have hands-on experience working with trailer systems.
Responsibilities
Complete CVIP inspections in compliance with Alberta Transportation standards
Diagnose and repair trailer components: brakes, suspension, axles, electrical/lighting, wheel ends
Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
Document all inspections, repairs, and findings accurately
Identify issues and recommend repair solutions
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Work independently and communicate clearly with the team
Requirements
Valid Alberta CVIP Trailer Inspector Certification (required)
2+ years of experience as a Trailer Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician
Strong knowledge of commercial trailer systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools and read technical manuals
High attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and in a shop environment
Nice to Have
Journeyman or Red Seal certification
Welding or fabrication experience
Air brake endorsement
