Machine Operator – Plastic Injection Molding (Afternoon shift 3:15 PM – 11:45 PM daily)

Newton is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our plastic injection molding team. In this role, you'll be responsible for assembling plastic components, performing quality checks, packaging finished products, and maintaining an organized, safe work area. Position Type: This is a temporary position with robust potential to convert to full time employment for candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and attention to detail. This is a great opportunity to prove yourself and grow into a long-term role with our team.

Shift: Afternoon shift, 3:15 PM – 11:45 PM daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Assembly
Assemble plastic components using manual tools or semi-automated equipment
Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, or sample units to ensure accuracy
Perform repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail

Quality Control
Inspect parts for defects such as cracks, discoloration, or improper fit
Measure or test assembled parts using gauges or templates as required




Report defective parts or assembly issues to the supervisor immediately

Packing and Labeling
Package finished products neatly and safely into boxes or bins
Apply correct labels or identification tags to packaged goods
Prepare items for shipment or storage per internal procedures

Material Handling
Collect components and materials from storage or staging areas
Maintain proper inventory levels at the workstation
Return unused materials or scrap to designated areas

Record Keeping
Complete basic production records, including quantity completed, part numbers, and any rework required
Report daily output, downtime, or material shortages to the supervisor

Safety & Housekeeping
Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards
Safely use small hand tools, cutters, and fixtures
Immediately report safety hazards or equipment issues

Pay: From $18.76 per hour
