NELSON is looking for heavy equipment operators to work on remediation, environmental construction and demolition projects with our Earthworks division. The work will require paid overtime and travel throughout Alberta and possibly beyond. The successful candidate will need to be able to operate heavy equipment in a safety conscious manner on client sites.
Responsibilities:
Protected Operation of Heavy Equipment,
Excavator
Excavation, demolition, UST removal
Dozer
Finish operator
Rock Truck
Packer
Loader
Perform equipment inspection, clean and maintain equipment as required.
Candidates must have:
· Heavy equipment experience
· Valid drivers license
· Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance
· First Aid/CPR
· Ground Disturbance Level II
· WHMIS2015
· H2S Alive
· Other training will be provided as needed
Experience Required
Excavation and backfill experience required
Previous remediation and demolition experience would be an asset.

Note: While PPE is provided, the successful candidate must have CSA Approved Safety Boots. The successful candidate will be responsible for having prescription safety glasses (if required.)

Supplemental Pay
Overtime pay after 8 hrs/day, 44 hrs/wk not including travel time
Per diem when working away from home
