Duties
Perform grooming services including bathing, hair trimming, brushing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling according to breed standards or customer preferences
Assess each dog’s coat condition and skin health to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products
Handle dogs with care and patience, ensuring a stress-free experience for pets of all temperaments
Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, adhering to health and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide professional advice on pet care
Manage heavy lifting when handling large or heavy breeds safely and efficiently
Keep detailed records of grooming services provided, customer preferences, and any health concerns observed





Skills
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pet owners and team members
Experience in dog grooming or related animal care fields is preferred but not mandatory; training prospects are available for motivated candidates
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling larger breeds or equipment
Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide clear guidance on pet care options
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals are essential qualities for success in this role
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are consistently met
Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining a lively, energetic attitude
