Duties
Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move pallets and materials accurately within the cross dock zone
Load and unload incoming shipments with precision, ensuring proper placement and storage
Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols and mechanical knowledge requirements
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records promptly
Assist in order picking processes by selecting products according to order specifications with attention to accuracy
Perform routine inspections on forklift equipment to maintain safety standards and mechanical functionality
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments and maintain smooth warehouse operations
Experience
Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments preferred
Certification in forklift operation, including clamp truck and order picker equipment, is highly desirable
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods while maintaining physical stamina
Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols
