Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide personalized educational support to students of various ages and learning levels. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in specific subject areas, including Math, Science, and English, and demonstrate effective teaching strategies that cater to individual learning styles. This role involves developing tailored lesson plans, utilizing learning technology, and fostering a positive learning workplace that encourages student engagement and success.

Duties
Assess student needs and develop customized lesson plans to address specific academic goals.
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry etc
Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to enhance understanding and retention of material.




Monitor student progress through regular assessments and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Implement effective classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning setting.
Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons to meet diverse learning requirements.
Foster a positive relationship with students to encourage motivation and confidence in their abilities.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents or guardians as necessary.

Qualifications:
Enrolment or completion of a Bachelors Degree from a Canadian University
Previous experience teaching in Math and Science preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
