SUMMARY

This position is responsible for handling all materials in support of QC and production.

The Material Handler is a member of the Shipping Receiving team and will work to satisfy the needs of the Production Department, ensuring an organized, efficient and safe work flow for the company.

This position requires a fair amount of work outdoors throughout the year.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Yard and competent forklift operation experience a must
Sufficient forklift knowledge to perform daily inspections
Ability to read a tape measurement
Solid organizational skills
Shipping & Receiving experience
Must be physically fit and able to lift and manually load various items
Ability to follow detailed instruction accurately
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
PPE required – steel toe boots

RESPONSIBILITES
Loading and unloading of materials and equipment from transport trucks/trailers
Assist in maintaining material handling equipment




Provide accuracy with checking of orders against relevant paperwork (i.e. packing slips, etc.) including working with QC to ensure receipt of proper materials
Participate in all aspects of shipping/receiving and inventory functions.
Organize parts and materials for QC & Production
Perform housekeeping, general yard and storage maintenance, keeping everything organized and effective
Staging goods and preparing them for shipping
Ensure compliance with Company processes, procedures and work instructions

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday: 8:00AM-5:00pm

Friday- 8:00AM-1:30pm

Will be moving to Sherwood Park in the next coming months

Job Type: Full-time
