Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our expanding mobile mechanical services team in the Prince Rupert area. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of marine, transport, and heavy equipment in both shop and field environments.

Duties
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, trucks, and marine vessels.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine issues using diagnostic software, testing equipment, schematics, and technical manuals.
Complete equipment assembly, disassembly, and component rebuilds as required.
Install new equipment, accessories, and system upgrades.
Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and work orders.
Provide professional service in both shop and in office field service environments.

Skills
Experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, transport vehicles, or marine equipment.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical diagnostics.




Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
Welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to safely lift heavy components and work in physically demanding settings.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Valid driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$60.00 per hour
