We’re looking for a Salon Manager who loves doing hair and knows how to lead a team. We’re looking for someone who can balance the day-to-day responsibilities of running a salon while still working behind the chair and taking care of clients.
As our Salon Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping the salon run smoothly, supporting your team, creating a great experience for clients, and making sure the salon stays organized and on track.
What you’ll be doing:
Work behind the chair as a hairstylist and provide great haircuts and services to clients
Lead, support and motivate the salon team
Help with scheduling and keeping the salon properly staffed
Assist with hiring, training and onboarding new stylists
Make sure salon standards, policies and procedures are being followed
Handle customer concerns and make sure clients leave happy
Keep the salon clean, organized and welcoming
Monitor inventory and make sure retail products and supplies are kept stocked and organized
Provide coaching and feedback to stylists when needed
Help create a positive, respectful and team-focused work workplace
Handle opening and closing duties and other day-to-day management responsibilities
What we’re looking for:
Licensed hairstylist
Previous salon experience
Leadership or management experience is an asset
Someone who is reliable, organized and comfortable taking initiative
Robust communication and customer service skills
Someone who enjoys working with people and helping a team succeed
Comfortable working in a busy salon environment
Someone who can lead by example while still enjoying being behind the chair .
