Working within the Cougars Athletics and Recreation department, these are adaptable positions whose work schedule is variable and may include an irregular schedule of not less than three (3) hours per shift and up to thirty-five (35) hours per week. These positions will end March 31, 2027.
The Game Day Rover will be a member of the Cougar Athletics Varsity Game Day Events Team. This position will be for the duration of the fall and winter semesters. The position assists with the set-up and tear down of varsity events, assisting in meeting Canada West requirements and supporting all other game day tasks as a part of our team. As the rover you will learn many of the game day positions to be prepared to assist where needed. It is expected that the incumbent in this role is committed to all games in regular and post season.
Responsibilities
Set-up, test and use various gameday technology; troubleshoot as required
Work with game officials and Game Day Supervisor as required
Provide general support to all aspects of the Game Day Event as required
Ensure all requirements and regulations set-out by Canada West and U SPORTS are met and followed with the Game Day team
Other duties as required
Qualifications
12 - 18 months of related experience
Passion for sports with a solid knowledge of hockey
Ability to work all shifts between Thursday - Sunday afternoons and evenings
Highly motivated individual who can work well independently under pressure
Commitment to time management and punctuality
Robust focus and attention to detail
Ability to lift items of up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
Salary: $15.45 - $19.44 per hour
