Overview

We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Electrician for a full-time opportunity with a specialty hardware operation in Markham. The ideal candidate will have basic electrical knowledge and hands-on experience or training in low-voltage wiring and hardware installation.

This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to build practical experience in electrical work while developing their skills in a hands-on work environment.

Responsibilities
Wire and connect low-voltage hardware and electrical components.
Read and interpret basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions.
Install, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring and connections.
Perform basic troubleshooting of wiring and hardware issues.
Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment safely and correctly.
Assist with assembling, installing, and modifying specialty hardware.
Inspect wiring and connections to ensure proper installation and functionality.
Maintain an organized and secure work area.




Follow all workplace safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
Work closely with experienced technicians and other team members.
Perform other related electrical and installation duties as required.

Requirements
Entry-level electrical experience, training, apprenticeship, or technical education.
Basic understanding of electrical principles and low-voltage systems.
Ability to wire and connect low-voltage hardware.
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
Ability to read basic electrical diagrams or wiring schematics.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual with a robust work ethic.
Previous experience in a hardware, manufacturing, installation, or technical workplace is an asset.
